# How to use the audio filters?

### Sampling&#x20;

You can manipulate the sampling rate of the input signal (which already existed before directly in the encoder)

### Layout&#x20;

Sets the audio layout (mono, stereo, unprocessed)

### Pan&#x20;

Can mute the left or right channel

### Volume

&#x20;Lets you set the level (10-90% or custom with dB value)

### Volume normalization

&#x20;FFmpeg tries to bring the noise level to an average level.
